Boot Styles You Need for Fall

After seeing tons of looks at NYFW (New York Fashion Week), I felt like this post was totally appropriate. Every year, different styles of boots are "in". I have seen a lot of different styles this year- whether it's been in stores, on instagram, or from NYFW shows. The best thing about a boot is that you can literally wear it with anything. Pair a boot with a dress for an feminine look. Wear leather pants and a combat boot for some edge. Jeans and a bootie work for an everyday look. The possibilities are endless. Here are some super trendy, cool, and ultra chic boot trends for fall.

The Combat Boot

This is a tried and true winner. I absolutely love a combat boot, and the beauty of this style is that it always looks good. Year after year, combat boots have been a constant look that is in style. In my opinion, a combat boot is probably the easiest boot to style. Literally any way that you dress this boot, it will look edgy and cool. I love how a combat boot looks paired with a leather pant and a chunky knit sweater. It is chic and unexpected. If you are only in the market for one pair of boots this year, I would say invest in a sleek pair of combat boots that you can wear year after year!

The Chunky Short Boot

I am a huge fan of this style boot and I have a couple pairs. I just think this style is super easy to throw on. A low chunky boot not only looks really good on, but is super comfortable to walk around in. These are probably the pair I would pack for a vacation because they are perfect for long days. I think a short boot looks chic in black, tan, and white. All the pairs of short boots that I have are round toe, which makes it feel more casual. I would style this kind of boot with a split hem jean (so that you can get some height but also show off the shoe), and a turtleneck. Super easy and super sleek.

The Tall Lug Sole Boot

These boots are what you call street style perfect. They are so incredible chic- I am obsessed. They give off the perfect "I didn't try and I am a natural badass" kind of vibe. I have seen lug sole boots everywhere this year (meaning the big chunky bottoms) but there is just something super cool about the tall ones. These have been everywhere during NYFW, which obviously means you should buy a pair now. I love how these boots look paired with a really girly dress. The sweet and edgy are the perfect juxtaposition to make you look like a professional model! Run, don't walk to buy these boots!

The Western Boot

This is such a specific kind of boot that comes in and out of style all the time. This year I keep seeing a tall western boot in an animal print. While this style of boot is fun, you need to style them correctly so that you don't look like you are going to a farm. I think the easiest way to style a western looking boot in a chic way is to wear them with jeans and a blazer. This helps make the boots look like fashion instead of halloween!

The Pointy Toed Heel Boot

Another classic that will pop up season after season is the pointy toed bootie. A forever staple in everyones wardrobe. This is another boot that year after year never fails to look amazing. A pointy toed boot is awesome because it is elongating for your legs ( yes please)! A pointy toed boot usually looks best when worn with straight leg jeans to dress them down a little. I love the look of a pointy toed boot with a leather jacket. It is classy yet edgy at the same time!
