Falls Next Big Thing

One Fall fashion trend that is going to be everywhere when the weather finally cools off is plaid shirt jackets. They are not only incredibly chic, but they're also extremely comfortable and easy to throw on over most outfits. Nordstrom

This is a black and white plaid jacket that is so easy to wear. Add black skinny jeans, a pair of black booties, and a black sweater or top and this jacket will look so chic. Wearing with all black would be the perfect way to make the black and white of the jacket pop. This would be a great way to dress up the jacket. To dress it down, pair with flared denim and a solid white top with black mules or sneakers. Plaid shirt jackets can be dressed up or down so easily, and is the perfect thing to wear when you wanna be put together but also comfortable.

2. Free People

If you are someone who is looking for a plaid shirt jacket that is more laid-back and casual, this is the perfect jacket for you. It is super easy to wear with jeans and a black or white simple graphic tee. This jacket is purple, olive, black, and off-white, which are the perfect colors to transition into fall. This jacket is more casual than the Nordstrom one, however, it is still very on trend and a perfect jacket to keep you warm and looking cute.

3. Madewell

The coloring on this shirt jacket is perfect for any skin tone, and could match any outfit. The amber and yellows scream Fall. If you are someone who loves to wear jeans and brown boots in the fall this jacket was made for you. Comfy, chic, and casual, this jacket can be worn for any occasion. If you wanted to dress this up, I would recommend a cream turtleneck, dark wash denim, and heeled brown booties.

4. Old Navy

This is one of my favorite shirt jackets that I found, because it has the look of a really expensive jacket, but for half the price. It is long and comes in either brown plaid with red, or white plaid. I personally like the white plaid color way, because I think it is more versatile and can be worn a lot more ways. If you're looking for a jacket that is colored so you will always have a pop of color in your outfit I would recommend the brown plaid color way. Pair this jacket with jeans and a cute pair of combat boots and boom- instant outfit!

5. Target

This jacket is another one that looks more expensive than it is. This jacket is a mid length jacket, so it will keep you warm while looking super cute. Perfect to throw over a pair of light wash denim jeans to run errands, or go to a pumpkin patch. This jacket also has slits up the sides since it is longer to make the fabric really easy to wear, making it not only fashionable but very functional. This is a perfect plaid shirt jacket for the new season!
