My Florence Capsule Wardrobe

When I was creating my capsule wardrobe to pack for Italy, it was really important to me that I included not just lots of different outfit options, but also different colors and styles of clothing. I stuck with very neutral colors and patterns that I could very easily mix and match. Part of the fun of my capsule wardrobe was coming up with new and exciting ways to wear each piece. That being said, here is what is included in my capsule wardrobe and different ways I styled the pieces.

Bottoms- I have a variety of different bottoms included in my capsule wardrobe. Let's start with jeans. I have 6 pairs of jeans of all different shades and styles, just so no matter what I could find a pant that worked with whatever top I chose for the day. The 6 jeans included 2 pairs of black jeans (one ripped and one not), as well as a pair of boyfriend jeans. The rest were skinny jeans of different shades of denim. In addition to the jeans, I also included a pair of denim shorts and a black denim jean skirt. These are very versatile and work for when the weather warms up with either a t-shirt, bodysuit, tank top, or even sweater or long sleeve if its still a little chilly. Finally, a long black pleated midi skirt. This can be dressed down or up depending on how it's styled and could be a fun piece to pair with very basic tops.

Tops- I went very basic when it came to tops because I wanted to have a lot of different options. For long sleeve tops, my capsule wardrobe includes solid black and white, then striped, and finally a fun puff sleeved shirt. For t-shirts, I included solid colors such as black, white, and grey, as well as two printed graphic tees that could be worn over a long sleeve if needed. I have 4 sweaters- solid black, solid white, solid grey, then striped. I also included a couple tank tops that were solid colored to be layered or worn on their own.

Fun Pieces- As I already mentioned, one of the more fun pieces included is my black, pleated midi skirt. In addition to that I brought a black and white striped t shirt dress and a black jumpsuit. I also included some fun bodysuits that could be worn to the clubs, or as a shirt itself with jeans and a sweater. I also include jewelry a fun part of every capsule wardrobe so gold hoops and fun necklaces are a must.

Shoes- No outfit is complete without a good pair of shoes! I kept it very simple and basic with shoes that are very comfortable. This includes white sneakers, grey sneakers, nike running shoes, flip flops, rain boots, and black doc martins. All shoes that could match any outfit and can be worn to walk around the cobblestone streets all day!!

Creating a capsule wardrobe is super fun, and should take away stress that comes with picking out an outfit. Whether you are creating a capsule wardrobe for fun or to pack for a trip just remember that every piece should be able to be worn over and over in new and exciting ways. Here are some of my looks created from my Florence Capsule Wardrobe.
