Last week I started talking about what pieces I feel are missing from my wardrobe that I want to add. I decided to make it a two part blog because my list is long! So here is the second half of pieces that I think would be amazing to invest in, as promised. All these pieces are something I can style tons of ways and wear all the time. So here is part 2 of pieces I want to buy!
5. Long Flared Jeans
I think the concept a longer jean is amazing, and the length of pants is starting to get longer and longer in the fashion world. The idea for a longer, wider leg jean is that it cover your shoes and just touches the ground or is an inch or two above the ground. This helps give the illusion that your legs are insanely long!! The ideal shoe for a longer jean is something with a little bit of a heel, or a chunky shoe. A long jean will never go out of style because it looks super chic on. Plus, since it is a regular jean just longer, it is super easy to wear.
How I'd Style It:
So in reality, you can wear a longer length jean with anything on top! A sweater, a button down, a tee, a blouse... literally anything and it will have a feminine and sleek look because of the jeans. They key to longer length jeans is what shoe. You can never go wrong with a simple heel that lets the jeans just brush the floor. I also love the idea of a short, lug sole bootie with a long jean. Even a clog would be perfect for this kind of jean because the length of the jean would be perfect with a little heeled clog!

6. Silk Skirt
A silk skirt is another piece that I think everyone should have in their closet. Whether it's a solid color or has a fun print, I think this is a great piece. A silk skirt is so fabulous because it can be dressed up or dressed down. And it always looks super feminine and sleek. There are a million ways to wear a silk skirt, and this is another piece that can be worn for most of the year. Another way to invest as a two in one, is to buy a silk dress. This way you can wear it as a dress, or throw any kind of shirt or sweater over it to look like a skirt!
How I'd Style It:
You can totally dress a silk skirt for the weather or for the event. For a casual summer look, throw on a cute tank or knot up a graphic tee and wear sandals or sneakers! For fall, you can wear a cozy cardigan and tank with heels for a super feminine and work/event appropriate look. Winter you can break out the boots and booties, and throw on a chunky sweater. If the sweater is too overwhelming, you can always belt it to show off your waist! So easy to style for any season or any kind of event!

7. Chunky Necklace
When I think chunky necklace, I don't really have anything specific in mind. I more think of a big, cool looking necklace to fill up the space around my neck. I think necklaces (and accessories in general) are a great way to add detail to your outfit while helping to dress it up or down. Necklaces that are beaded or have detail are also great because they can add a pop of color, or even tie all the clothes you're wearing together to make it into a completed outfit.
How I'd Style It:
A chunky necklace can literally be thrown on with any outfit to help make it look more complete and put together! Throw a chunky necklace on with jeans and a tee to dress up a casual everyday look. Wear a chunky necklace under the collar of a blouse for work for a feminine yet polished outfit. Or add a chunky necklace to an all black outfit for a pop of something special!

8. Cardigans
My recent obsession and style uniform that I go to all the time is a graphic tee or solid colored tank, jeans, and a cute chunky cardigan. I have some cardigans, but in reality, can you ever have too many? I love throwing a cardigan on for that cool slouchy but put together look. A cardigan in fun patterns and brighter colors is where I want to start adding to my wardrobe. A cardigan is a perfect place for a fun pattern or color, and you can always balance it out by wearing all black or all white underneath to make it really pop. Especially heading into the colder weather, I highly recommend any and all cute cardigans for your outfits!
How I'd Style It:
You can't really go wrong when you are styling a cardigan. My go-to way to wear a cardigan lately has been with a tank or graphic tee under, jeans, and either boots or sandals (depending on the season). You can also throw a cardigan over a jumpsuit for a little more elevated look. Or over a dress for that boho yet feminine vibe. You could also wear the cardigan as a shirt with leather pants and booties and you are totally ready for a night out! So many ways to style a cardigan which proves its such a great piece to have in your wardrobe!
