Pieces That I Want to Buy- Part 1

I don't know about you, but I like to keep a list of what pieces I am continually feeling like are missing from my wardrobe. These are pieces that I always find myself wishing I had when styling outfits, or pieces that I know I would wear a ton. When trying to figure out what to buy, it's important that you think about how many different ways you can wear that piece. If you would only style it one way, it might not be worth investing in, or find a cheap version. If you can think of multiple ways to wear it and think you can work it into your wardrobe with your existing pieces, it is worth getting. So here are a couple pieces currently on my list of things I want to buy! I split this into two sections because the list is long, so here is part 1!

1. Wide Leg Trouser

This is a piece that is going to be everywhere soon! I have already started seeing it on runways and in street style looks. The wide leg trouser is amazing because it looks polished but effortlessly chic. This is a perfect pant that can be worn to work with a heel or bootie, or can be worn in your everyday life to go out! The beauty of the wide leg look is that your legs will go on for miles, and it looks incredible paired with a tighter top.

How I'd Style It:

These pants can be styled in SO many different ways. Pair them with a heel, tight turtleneck, and pretty earrings to look sleek and polished for work. Throw on a bootie, silky tank tucked in, and leather jacket to go out on the town. To style casually, I'd wear a graphic tee tied, or a sweater and a platform sneaker. Totally cool and effortless!

2. Leather Blazer

I have a deep love for all things leather. It just looks so cool and laid back! There is something about a blazer that makes you look so put together, but make it leather and its cool, sleek, and fabulous! A leather blazer is super cool for a night out, or can even look professional for a work event. If you want a two in one, buy an oversized leather jacket- it then can be a leather jacket but also give the feel of a leather blazer!

How I'd Style It:

You can wear a blazer like a regular blazer. Throw it on over a graphic tee, jeans, and loafers for a casual but put together look. For a night out, wear a high waisted black jean, a lacy crop top, and a bootie with the blazer over it. If you want a daytime look, a lightweat sweater and jeans looks great! And if you want to dress it up, a short floral dress under the leather blazer with a tall boot or heel looks feminine but edgy.

3. High Slouchy Boots

If you know me, you know I love boots. The kind of boot I feel like I am missing is a tall chic boot. The new style for tall boots is a cowboy feel, or more slouchy. I personally, am a fan of the slouchy look. A tall boot can be easy to wear if you don't try too hard to style them. Let them speak for themselves! You can wear a tall boot for anything and look totally put together. I even think you can style a tall boot like this from fall- spring which makes it worth the investment!

How I'd Style Them:

There are a couple ways to style these boots that immediately come to mind. The first is very simple but super chic. I would do skinny jeans tucked into the boots, with a simple button down half tucked, with a bold necklace under the neckline of the shirt. This is casual but totally sleek for day or night. Another way to style these boots would be with a midi skirt and oversized sweater. This makes the boots look a little more feminine and dressy.

4. White Button Down

This is totally the piece that I keep looking for in my closet while getting dressed lately. I think this is such a great wardrobe staple that everyone should have because it can be styled SO many different ways. You can layer a white button down, wear it as a dress and belt it (if it's long enough), or just wear it plain. Such a simple piece that looks crisp and polished. The perfect piece to invest in for work and life!!

How I'd Style It:

The list goes on and on for ways to style this versatile shirt. If just wearing it with jeans, there are tons of ways to make it look interesting. Tuck it all the way in, tie it in a knot, half tuck one side! You can also layer a button down under literally anything! Under a sweater vest, an oversized sweater, or even over a turtleneck. You can wear a white button down with jeans, black jeans, a trouser, a silky skirt, even a leggings! The possibilities are endless!
