I cannot believe that it's already Thanksgiving week! Everyone celebrates Thanksgiving a different way and with a different dress code. Sometimes it's hard to know exactly what to wear so you look put together, appropriate, and comfortable for a day full of eating! Today I'm sharing a couple ideas for Thanksgiving outfits that will impress your family, no matter what your holiday dress code is! Wishing everyone a very happy Holiday, and let me know if you wear any of these ideas for your Thanksgiving!
Comfy + Cozy
One of the most important things during a holiday like Thanksgiving is to be comfortable. Even if you have a super casual holiday celebration, you still want to feel put together! I recommend a cute graphic sweatshirt, so you're still cozy but look cool. I also love the idea of a legging that has front slits because it adds a little touch of fashion to an otherwise laid back outfit. With the front slit, a shoe that has a little more punch is perfect- whether it has a platform or an elongating toe box. Then throw on some necklaces and you are ready for a super casual but cool Thanksgiving with family!

Casual
My family tends to celebrate somewhere in between casual and elevated casual dress codes. We like to look nice but not be over the top. For a casual Thanksgiving, I love a simple, stretchy jean. Make sure you aren't wearing a pair that has no stretch or you'll be super uncomfortable! Some sort of sweater on top is perfect for the put together but casual look. If you want to take it a step further, wear a fun second skin turtleneck and a sweater vest like I styled below. This is trendy and chic but still super easy! Adding a loafer adds a touch of polished preppy to the look that makes it feel really cool.

Elevated Casual
I think of elevated casual as a step up from the everyday. A perfect example would be a leather pant. When wearing a leather pant, especially a straight leg one, I would wear a tighter top with it. This helps balance out your outfit and gives your body shape. A sweater is totally appropriate with leather pants, and perfect for this weather. You can never go wrong with a patterned bootie because some patterns, like snakeskin, are technically a neutral. Then add a little fun jewelry to feel glamorous and chic!

Effortlessly Chic
Sometimes it can be really fun to dress up a little nicer for a special occasion, like a holiday. While you want to look nice, you still want to be comfortable, especially when you are eating and just hanging out with family and friends. Nothing says comfortable chic like a silky midi skirt and a chunky knit. This looks fabulous, but is also great because you just let the sweater hang over the skirt- not tucking or tying required! This look is so easy but still looks really classy and feminine. Add some fun accessories, like a really girly hair clip, and you are all set!

Sleek and Polished
If your family likes to dress nice for Thanksgiving, this outfit idea is for you. A warm dress is cozy but also looks really sleek and put together. An easy way to dress up an outfit like this is to add fun shoes and jewelry. You can never go wrong with a simple over the knee boot. Or you could add a fun colored or patterned bootie. I love the look of a bootie that has some interest, like velvet, because it brings the attention down and makes your legs look insanely long! Layer on some necklaces to fill the space on your neck, and lighten up your face. This is a look that is easy to wear and will look fabulous! I promise, you'll get compliments!
