What I Wore Last Week

Whenever I know I have a busy week, I try to think ahead and plan this blog post! I think it's really fun to share my real outfits with you. This way you can see what I actually wear for Zooms, client appointments, and shopping! Hopefully they can inspire your work and everyday outfits! Friday I didn't snap a pic, but I wore a cozy matching set to work from home- you can see the outfit on Instagram (@SimplySyd9). Somehow, I was wearing almost the same thing as my boss everyday (slightly different but very similar), so great minds think alike!
Monday
I worked from home but had a Zoom meeting on Monday. At night, I went to my grandparents house and traded out the slippers for black combat boots. I wanted to be comfortable but look put together, so I wore a colored light sweatshirt and pattern leggings. I love a camo legging with a solid colored top! For zoom meetings, you want interest near your face, whether it's a shirt with a pattern or a necklace, so I threw on my pearl chain necklace to complete the look! Easy, looks put together, and super comfortable!

Tuesday
Tuesday's agenda was a client appointment and then pre-shopping at the mall! I decided to go with a lightweight white blouse and pair it with combat boots for a little edge. It's important in an outfit to pull all of your pieces together, which is why I wore a beaded black necklace- to tie in the black boots. You can never go wrong with a flowy blouse and a combat boot because the juxtaposition will work every time to look feminine but also edgy. With a flowy top, it's also important to not wear too wide a jean because otherwise the look is not balanced and your body looks rectangular and wide- which no one wants. So if you wear a flowy blouse, I recommend wearing a skinnier/ slim jean to elongate your legs and balance out the look!

Wednesday
Shopping with a client means I am on my feel all day, so I always start with comfortable shoes when building my outfit. I love the colors on this retro sneaker, so I kept the rest of my outfit pretty plain to highlight the colors in the shoe. A band tee is one of my favorite tops to wear with these jeans. Wide leg jeans can be hard to style, because you want to balance out the top and bottom. I always either wear a tight shirt or tuck in my top with these jeans! I added a chunky gold necklace to add contrast on the light grey shirt, and a gold belt to match! This is a great outfit for any day of the week. Super comfortable, looks hip, and you can throw any kind of jacket/ sweater over this when the weather gets cooler to make this a year long outfit!

Thursday
This is the last day of the week I took a pic of (sorry!) and I wanted to look put together but not be super uncomfortable and fidgety. I had a client appointment at their house so shoes that are easy to take on and off are a must. I also think that the pointy toe of the mule helps to elongate my legs with the cropped flare denim. You seriously can never go wrong with black and white. It looks sleek and chic without trying. Because the shoulders of this top are emphasized, it's important to show off your waist to give your body figure, which is why I tucked my top in! Since the rest of my outfit was pretty simple, I piled on a bunch of different necklaces and rings to add some excitement!

Which look was your favorite from this week? And which looks will you be copying?!
